The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is an international learned society for computing. It is a non-profit professional membership group with the number of student members exceeding 32,000 and that of professional members above 65,000 as of 2017. Its headquarters are based in the techno-hub New York City. ACM is organized into over 171 local chapters with over 500 college and university chapters.

The HITK ACM STUDENT CHAPTER is one of the 7 active chapters presently in WEST BENGAL. The HITK ACM STUDENT CHAPTER was established to address the needs of HITK computing community. We organize talks and workshops on the various fields of Computer Science by distinguished speakers who are well known for their achievements in their respective fields. These talks and workshops help the students to learn about advanced research topics. Brainstorm, C3 Competitive Programming, Python Hobby Group are some of the activities that we conduct. It serves as a dynamic hub of activity where everyone come to meet, interact, and learn from one another.
